Kindergarten Learns About the 5 Senses
For the past few weeks, the Kinders in Mrs.
Mental Health Screenings
Nebo District is offering a mental health screener for students from 4 pm to 8 pm Monday, October 7, 2024, at Diamond Fork Middle School. We will be using Terrace Metrics software to measure mental and emotional strengths, as well as screen for anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation of students in grades 6-12.
1st Grade is Learning About Their Body
In their new CKLA Language Arts Program, the 1st Graders are learning about their bodies. To extend their knowledge, they did art projects creating skeletons and coloring brains and hearts.
Family Dance
To kick-off Hispanic Heritage Month there will be a family dance at Springvill
Leadership Night 2024: Out of This World Experience
Leadership Night 2024 is in the books and it was an Out of This World experience. It was a night of food, fun, glow in the dark experiences where everyone could Lead, Learn, Inspire and Feel Important. The Lighthouse Team greeted all with a map of the activities around the school. In the gym, parents and students talked with teachers about test scores and every Croc got a backpack filled with books and math helps. In class rooms, the whole family could play some fun glow in the dark educational games.
Mrs. Vandygriff’s 5th Grade Class Takes the Spirit Day Trophy Again!
Mrs. Vandygriff’s class has their eyes set on a pizza party at the end of the year! Her class had everyone wearing Red or Spirit Day attire. Congratulations! Any other class want to give them some competition? It’s still early in the school year.
WIGS 2024: Wildly Important Goals
Here are our 2 School WIGs (Wildly Important Goals) for 2024. For Wig #1, each student can earn Croc Claws by living one of the 7 Habits at school. For WIG #2, each student can do their home reading to earn tickets to the Reading Carnival.
Another Impossible Shot Made!
We’ve only been in school for about 6 weeks, and a 3rd student has made the Impossible Possible! A 3rd grade student in Mrs. Hardman’s class made the Impossible Shot yesterday in PE. Congratulations!
