Mark your calendar: Cherry Creek’s Leadership Night will be held on Monday, September 9th from 4 to 6 pm. Pizza will be served, every student will receive a free backpack & a book and there will be glow in the dark games, along with more family fun. We’d love to see all our Cherry Creek students and their parents!
A Big Cherry Creek shout out to some friends from Wavetronix of Springville! 3 Friends from Wavetronix came to Cherry Creek today to stencil playground games for our students in Part 1 of Day of Caring. On September 12, more friends from Wavetronix and BYU will come and add color to the stencils already painted. We are thankful for these great volunteers who show us that education and serving in the community are important…they are living Habit #4: Think Win-Win! #wavetronics

2nd grade was visited by the Living Planet Aquarium so that they could discover things about the rainforest habitat. They saw a gecko, a blue-tongued skink, and a king snake. The students also got to smell cinnamon, learn about rubber, and got a little “rained on” as they learned about the importance of the rainforests.
The first Impossible Shot of the year was made today by a 5th Grader in Mrs. Vandygriff’s class. It didn’t take very long for this student to take the honors. Congratulations!
Mrs. Jensen’s 1st grade class has been learning all about fables & retelling the beginning, middle, & end. They are pretty good artists too!
Cherry Creek would like to introduce our Student Lighthouse Team for 2024-25. Our Student Lighthouse team are our MC’s for our Victory Assemblies. They attend the Student Council conference at BYU where they learn more about being leaders. They serve as leaders and role models to their peers.
Fridays are Spirit Day at Cherry Creek Elementary. All Cherry Creek Crocs are invited to wear Red shirts, shorts, pants or School apparel with the Cherry Creek Croc logo to show their school spirit. Every Friday, teachers will report the percentage of their students wearing red or Cherry Creek Spirit wear. The class(es) with the highest percentage(s) will be awarded a Spirit Day trophy for that day. At the end of the year, the class(es) with the most wins for Spirit Day, will earn a pizza party for their class.
Shout out to two Cherry Creek Crocs! They had a lemonade stand and raised $53 to donate to the Cherry Creek PTA. Habit 4: Think Win-Win! Thanks for being a great example to everyone at Cherry Creek!
