How Are We Doing With Our Big WIGS for 2022/2023?

Submitted by jan.grotegut on

At our Victory assembly today, we learned that we are over 1/4 of the way towards our goal of having each student receive Croc Claws for living one of the 7 Habits.  And we are a little over 1/3 of the way towards earning 10,000 tickets for the Reading Carnival.  Keep working hard Crocs….we will reach our goal if each one of us does our part!

Grinch Day in First Grade

Submitted by jan.grotegut on

Learning during the holidays can be fun!  In First Grade, we celebrated Grinch Day.  The 1st Graders did grinch worksheets, did a directed drawing of the grinch, made a cup that looked like the grinch, and watched the new grinch and ate popcorn that was in our cups.   They also ate “grinch pills” (Christmas m&m’s) and green candy canes.

Synergize!

Submitted by jan.grotegut on

Cherry Creek Crocs have learned that Covey Habit #6, Synergize, helps get things done!  The 5th Graders made the best of a snowy day to work together to build a snow fort!  They also put into practice Habit 2, Begin with the End in Mind and Habit 4, Think Win Win, to make things happen!  Great job!

Impossible? Not for Cherry Creek Crocs

Submitted by jan.grotegut on

Emmett Knight and Zane Lowe proved that the Impossible Shot is possible!  Since September, Mrs. Palmer has ben choosing 2 students who are showing good leadership in PE class to attempt to make the “Impossible Shot.”  Over 300 students have tried (314 to be exact).  The two students get 2 chances to throw a ball from a certain distance with the right angle and the right speed to land in a slim tube.   Emmett Knight, a 4th Grade student, was the first student to accomplish this feat on his first try.
