Today, Cherry Creek Crocs attended an assembly presented by Safe Routes Utah. The goal of this assembly is to help children get to and from school safely while motivating them to experience the benefits of walking or biking to school. They also learned about the Walk & Roll Challenge, which encourages students to walk, bike or “roll” to school with fun prizes for participation.
Just a reminder: School Picture Retake Day will be Tuesday, when we return from Fall break.
After Fall break, the PTA has planned some fun activities for Red Ribbon Week. Check out the schedule for some fun dress up days and activities.
Last week, the Student Lighthouse Team attended a Leadership Conference at BYU. They learned from 4 different presenters how to be good leaders. Brad Barton, Megans Johnson, Jon Bytheway and Ryan Radebagh were the 4 speakers.
This year, Kindergarten is using a new science platform called Mystery Sci
Mrs. Holden’s Kindergarten class spent a fun lesson reviewing numbers 1-5 by making puppets. Kinders use art to help review their numbers!
The 2nd Grade classes went to North Utah County Equestrian Park for Farm Field Days. The kids learned about and learned about a rabbit, pigs, a sheep, and a goat. They learned about how food is helpful (dairy, meats, eggs and fruits and veggies). 2nd Graders also learned about the water cycle, germs and how they are spread and learned about bees. What a fun day at the farm!
A new class takes the Spirit Day Trophy this week! Mrs. Nielsen’s 5th Grade Class takes the Spirit Day Trophy with 100% of students in the class sporting RED or Cherry Creek attire. Congratulations! Who will take the trophy next week?
