Today at our Victory Assembly, Mrs. Darrington announced our Top Crocs and Leaders of the Month for January. They were celebrated with a Victory Lap around the school! Congratulations!
Today, we had 1 class walk away with the Spirit Day Trophy! Mrs. Truscott’s class had 100% of their students wearing Red today. Congratulations!
Just a reminder, there will be no school on Friday, January 13th-the teachers have a Development Day. And Monday, January 16th is a school holiday for Civil Rights Day. Be safe and enjoy the break. See you back to school on Tuesday, January 17th.
Resident Artists from Utah Opera came to perform and teach the students at Cherry Creek. This morning, we were introduced to some basic Italian words that are used in operas, heard the 4 different voice classifications and participated by clapping rhythms. “Who Wants to ben an Opera Star” is an introduction to the art form of opera through the framework of a TV game show.
Cherry Creek’s own Tim Bell and Chelsie Bergera were recognized with PEAK Awards from Nebo School District. The PEAK (Positive Energy and Kindness) Award is presented monthly to someone in the Nebo School District who "really gets it" when it comes to providing exceptional customer service, which in turn results in positive impacts on everyone including students, parents, co-workers and members of the community. Congratulations Mr. Bell & Mrs. Bergera! Recognitions well deserved!
