Honoring Veterans at Cherry Creek

Submitted by jan.grotegut on

Today was a very special day at Cherry Creek.  Many students brought Veterans to school with them.  We honored our Veterans with a special Victory Lap for their service to our country. Classes gathered for a special question and answer session where they could ask about what the veterans ate, where they served, what they did in the armed forces and many more interesting subjects.  Thank You for coming and sharing your experiences with us so that we can learn and be inspired by Heroes  and Leaders!

Complete the Envision Utah Survey and have $1.50 Donated to Cherry Creek

Submitted by jan.grotegut on

We have a unique opportunity to weigh in on the future of our community, while also earning funds for our school.

This fall, Envision Utah is helping Utah Valley residents and stakeholders create a vision for the future as we add nearly 1 million people to our population over the next 50 years. This effort – called Valley Visioning – has culminated into the Valley Visioning survey, linked below.

Miss Utah, Dexonna Talbot, visits Cherry Creek

Submitted by jan.grotegut on

Miss Utah, Dexonna Talbot, came and shared her Servesteem platform with the students at Cherry Creek. She taught that sharing small acts of service can make a big difference in the world, which can create a ripple effect and fill the world with love!  She also said that serving others not only makes others feel good, but it also can make you happier!  Dexonna is a great example of being Proactive, Think Win-Win and Synergizing!  She is a great Leader in our Community and State!  Good Luck at the Miss America Pageant!
