The class with the highest percentage of students showing their school pride win the Croc Trophy and 2 Croc Claws each (redeemable for school prizes). The winning class on September 28 was Mrs. Sumsion's 6th grade class. They jumped for joy when they heard they won!

Poppin' in First Grade

Submitted by sarah.sumsion on

(Click "Read More" to flip the picture straight.) Our 1st graders did a popcorn activity where we ate popcorn and described it in adjectives.  We brought in a big popcorn popper and the students helped to make it.  Then we created our own popcorn adjectives.

The sixth grade orchestra program is well underway at Cherry Creek Elementary. Students are learning the basics of rhythm, counting, technique and instrument care. Music is a wonderful way to expand our cultural horizons, not to mention improve our math and reading skills.
