What do you know about Rocks?
We made the 3 types of rocks today using Play-Doh! We learned how igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks are formed. Special thanks to Ms. David for supplying the "crystals" (aka glitter) for our igneous rocks!
Force and Motion
We did a lesson on force and motion. We set off balloon rockets and timed them to see how long it took them to travel a certain distance. We used balloons with different amounts of weight attached and balloons with varying amounts of air in them. Students were then able to explain the different forces that were acting on the balloons in order to make them go faster or slower.
We Lead by showing Gratitude
Shara Park, of KSL, received notes written by our students, thanking her for the donuts she brought for the High 5 segment. Check out the video she filmed while opening the envelope...it is posted on her FB page as well as Cherry Creek's FB page
