When it’s too cold to go to the Zoo, sometimes the Zoo comes to you! The 2nd Graders had a visit from some critters from the Zoo. They learned about Utah habitats and animal adaptations. Some students even got to pet a Rabbit!
Today at lunch recess, Bruno lost his glasses in the field. His friends came to his aid…Using Habit #6, they Synergized, created a line and walked across the field to look for his glasses. And before the lunch bell rang, they were successful! Way to be great leaders and good friends!

The 5th grade students visited the Salt Lake City Capitol. They learned about the many symbols of Utah, fun facts of Utah, and the different branches of government. Representative Whyte asked the students questions about their visit to the capitol and then answered questions that the students had about his job.
Mrs. Hill’s class tested their luck with homemade leprechaun traps! We were unable to catch the sneaky leprechaun, but he sure left us a fun mess to clean up this morning!
A Big Croc Thank You to our great PTA for running the Book Fair this week along with Lunch with Loved Ones! Because of the generosity of the PTA, each student received a free book. Thanks for helping Cherry Creek Crocs develop a love of reading!
For Read Across America week, the Librarian and the Art Teacher collaborated to create an "art meets literature" art show. The 1st-3rd graders used a Laurel Burch art style to create their own "Pete the Cat." Fifth graders drew their own families in the style of "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and framed them with frames designed in a Faith Ringgold style. On your way to the book fair, walk down the 2nd grade hall and take a look at the art work.
