Lots of exciting things happened at Cherry Creek yesterday! With the generous donations and support of BYU, the BIG 12, the College Football Foundation, Extra Yard for Teachers, Donors Choose and School Specialty, Cherry Creek got a Library Makeover! These corporations wanted to create a space to help students succeed. In the words of one presenter, “the beauty of this room is that everything here can take you anywhere in the world you want to go. The more you read, the better speaker you are, the better writer you are…reading can take you so many places in life.” Margaret Frank, of the College Football Foundation, presented a check for $1,000 to Mrs. Golding to use in her classroom. Mrs. Golding has been a teacher here at Cherry Creek since 2006, when the school was changed from a Middle school to an Elementary school. Ms Frank said, “Great Teachers Change Lives!” Mrs. Golding has definitely changed many lives during her years teaching at Cherry Creek. All the representatives, along with Principal Darrington and Emmett, from the school Lighthouse Team, got together to cut the ribbon to officially open the new library!
