Santa’s Workshop Comes to Cherry Creek!
Last week, students at Cherry Creek Elementary in Springville were given the opportunity to buy inexpensive gifts for friends and family members at “Santa’s Workshop”. The PTA has worked very hard (with the help of Santa’s Elves, of course) to provide a wide variety of things that kids can afford (starting at 25 cents). Many children who are not otherwise able to buy gifts for their family members look forward to this every year. The workshop was quite busy during its open hours – it was a huge success!
Cherry Creek 3rd-Graders Share Holiday Cheer
On Thursday, December 10, third-graders at Cherry Creek Elementary visited the folks at Art City Nursing and Rehab. During the visit, they sang a few Christmas songs to get them in the holiday mood. It was a great experience for the children to offer service to others.
Cherry Creek Students Earn and Pajama Day!
Recently, students at Cherry Creek Elementary in Springville had a competition with their teachers to see who could donate the most items to the school food drive. Needless to say, the students WON! By a landslide! So, they get to have a pajama day to celebrate! Each class gets to wear their pajamas to school on a day their teacher chooses. Mr. Earl chose Tuesday November 24 for his students. It was an awesome day!
Cherry Creek First Grade Celebrates the 50th Day of
On Nov. 4, first grade students at Cherry Creek Elementary
in Springville celebrated the 50th day of school. They
dressed up in their best "fifties" clothes and played
games that were popular in the fifties. They learned how
to hula hoop, do the bunny hop, and the twist.
Afterwards, they all got root beer floats. It was a
great day in first grade!
