Tea Party Math Review
Ogden Riley from Mrs Sumsion's 6th grade class writes, "We did a tea party math review. We would exchange notes then we'd take the partner's notes and so forth. This activity was a great exercise for the 7 Habits. We were synergizing and sharpening the saw. And for ya'll that don't know what the 7 Habits are, they are habits that will help you get through life easier. I challange you to go look up the 7 Habits TODAY!"
Shapes & iPads
This week in Kindergarten the students had a blast learning about shapes! They cut out shapes from magazines, made shapes out of popsicle sticks and playdough, and even went on a shape hunt around our school and used iPads to take pictures of all the shapes they found.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Community Visit for 1st Grade!
On Friday, to culminate our unit on community helpers, the first graders got to spend some time listening to local firefighter Matt Johnson who volunteers for the Springville City Fire Department and works for the Salt Lake City Fire Department. He talked to the students about what he does as a firefighter in the community and how important it was for him to go to school to be able to become a firefighter. He also talked to them about fire safety, what to do in an emergency, and gave them coloring books to take home and talk about with their families!
