Author J. Scott Savage inspired students today during an assembly to encourage reading AND writing from the Cherry Creek Crocs. Using student participation, they sketched out a storyline involving a 10-year-old protagonist, giant banana, 5 really boring movies and an attacking picnic basket. Students were encouraged to share their stories through writing in class, as well as to visit him at the Springville Public Library that night. Mr. Savage is the author of the Farworld fantasy series and the Case File 13 monster series.

Mrs. Deardeuffs class is Harry Potter themed and had their world cup today. 

Wednesday, May 8, was Sonic Night.  A portion of all proceeds sold that night went to Cherry Creek Elementary to help with purchasing supplies and other needs at the school. A BIG thank you to Sonic in Springville for supporting our school as well as a HUGE thank you to parents, faculty and students who stopped by Sonic that night!

Kindergarten had dun this week learning about the circus! On Friday, each child had the opportunity to perform a circus for their classmates. There were acrobats, tight roper walkers, animals, animal trainers, muscle men, clowns, magicians, and even a ring master. Great Job Kindergarten Kids!
