Congratulations to the 3rd grade award winners for the month of January. These awards included Student of the Month, Top Readers, January's Sharing Snowflake, Top Croc, and Habit #4: Think Win-Win. These students have all worked very hard to earn their awards. What great leaders!
Students from the Lighthouse Committee met with Mr. Duncan to present the ideas the committee came up with for schoolwide leadership positions. They had great ideas! Everything from helping with lost and found items to being bully busters. We have a great group of Student Lighthouse members this year.
Here is the Cherry Creek Student Lighthouse Team in their first meeting. Students applied for these class representative positions or were nominated by their teachers. One student per class will come on a regular basis to discuss ways to improve the school. At their first meeting they learned what was expected of them, played a getting to know you game, made suggestion envelopes and were given an assignment to take back to their class to discuss. This fabulous group of students is mentored by Miss Hartman and Mrs. Sumsion.
A couple of Mrs. Mack's students examining their condensation chamber. They were discovering how teeny, teeny, tiny a water droplet is. Looks like we have some scientists in 4th grade!
