Student Leadership Positions

Submitted by lyndsee.brice on

Students from the Lighthouse Committee met with Mr. Duncan to present the ideas the committee came up with for schoolwide leadership positions. They had great ideas! Everything from helping with lost and found items to being bully busters. We have a great group of Student Lighthouse members this year.

Student Lighthouse Team

Submitted by lyndsee.brice on

Here is the Cherry Creek Student Lighthouse Team in their first meeting. Students applied for these class representative positions or were nominated by their teachers. One student per class will come on a regular basis to discuss ways to improve the school. At their first meeting they learned what was expected of them, played a getting to know you game, made suggestion envelopes and were given an assignment to take back to their class to discuss. This fabulous group of students is mentored by Miss Hartman and Mrs. Sumsion.

4th Grade Scientists

A couple of Mrs. Mack's students examining their condensation chamber. They were discovering how teeny, teeny, tiny a water droplet is. Looks like we have some scientists in 4th grade!

Carter had a gymnastics meet at the Salt Palace on Friday January 9th. He placed in every event! He competes on the high bar, floor, pommel horse, parallel bars, rings, and vault. He placed 3rd over all in his age group and 3rd in his division out 60 boys. Congratulations Carter!

Pluton Science Lab

Submitted by lyndsee.brice on

Miss Hartman's 4th grader stusents used a science experiment to replicate how intrusive igneous rocks are formed. Students observed the density of the liquids and gas as it relates to plutons, the earth's mantle and crust. We LOVE science.
