We Learn and Inspire: Math March Madness

Submitted by jan.grotegut on

During the month of March, we have been having a multiplication challenge called Math March Madness.  We conducted multiplication timed tests in classes and between grade levels to find the quickest and most accurate students in multiplication facts.  We fashioned it after the March Madness basketball tournament, determining the Sweet 16, Elite 8 and Final 4 in grades 3-6.  Reagan McSweeney, 6th Grade, Gracie Pratt, 5th Grade, Beckam Clark, 4th Grade, Caleb Unguren, 3rd grade took top honors.  Reagan and Caleb both won in their perspective Grade brackets.

The 2nd Graders took a field trip to Harward Farms to learn about agriculture and where food really comes from...not just from the grocery store.  They learned about sheep, cows, pigs and bees And more!

Submitted by jan.grotegut on

Here’s the Final Four of the two grade brackets of our Math March Madness competition.  They will be going head to head in a live competition on Thursday afternoon.  We will find out who will be awarded most accurate and fastest for each grade level and one student will be awarded as the Math Wiz for the 3rd and 4th Grade bracket and another student for the 5th and 6th Grade bracket.  Good Luck!
