We Learn to be Smart on the Net

Submitted by jan.grotegut on

The Internet and social media can be good tools to use in life.  But we also learned in our Net Smartz assembly that there are times when we need to be wise and careful when using computers and cell phones.    Ask your children to discuss with you what they learned today!

What do you know about Rocks?

Submitted by jan.grotegut on

We made the 3 types of rocks today using Play-Doh! We learned how igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks are formed. Special thanks to Ms. David for supplying the "crystals" (aka glitter) for our igneous rocks!

Force and Motion

Submitted by jan.grotegut on

We did a lesson on force and motion. We set off balloon rockets and timed them to see how long it took them to travel a certain distance. We used balloons with different amounts of weight attached and balloons with varying amounts of air in them. Students were then able to explain the different forces that were acting on the balloons in order to make them go faster or slower.
