June Davis, winner of the Cherry Creek School Flag design contest was able to raise the flag for the first time at Cherry Creek on Thursday, November 11th.  Students gathered to celebrate and joined in by singing the school song and repeating the mission statement.  We are proud to have this flying with the school mascot and mission statement incorporated into her design.  Great work June!  

Cherry Creek Elementary lined the sidewalk to honor a few veterans from our community.  Students invited family members who are current or former members of the military to participate in a parade so we could show our respect.  We are thankful for the vetarans service to our country and for helping to provide the freedoms, safety and opportunities we have.  Students proudly waved flags and held up art work as the veterans were introduced and given a small gift as a token of our appreciation.  Thank you for helping us make Veterans Day a little more meaningful. &nbsp

This week, Mrs. Frossard’s class and Mrs. Truscott’s class tied with all of their students Rocking Red!  Way to show your school spirit 4th Grade!

The student leadership team at Cherry Creek held our first Victory Assembly of the year and recognized students for their victories (efforts) in academics and citizenship.  We had a great time celebrating our first group of students for this year.  We, along with their family members, celebrated the accomplishments of students in every grade.  Students were honored as as Top Croc for being great examples of living the 7 Habits.

Celebrating Halloween was a real treat this year.   Students arrived all smiles, ready for a fantastic day.  More smiles arrived as we were able to welcome parents into the building to once again host class parties.  We are thankful for all the volunteers who helped make this a fun day.  

The first grade students from our school were able to attend Peter Pan's Great Adventure at the Scera Theater in Orem.  We are lucky to have many wonderful opportunities to participate in, enjoy, and learn about the arts.  Not only do students get to attend performances showcasing various forms of art, we are lucky to have arts education integrated into our curriculum, and be able to take advantage of district arts specialists.  

This week, Mrs. Truscott’s 4th Grade Class and Mrs. Jarvis’ 5th Grade Class tied with 95% of their students wearing Red.  Way to show your School Spirit! Congratulations!

There are many wonderful things happening at Cherry Creek, including character education lessons being taught by our school counselor, Mrs. Smith. Today she was teaching, laughing, and interacting with students in Mrs. Jensen's class with a fun lesson. We have a strong community of educators working hard every day at Cherry Creek to help all of our students be successful in every aspect of life.
