Last week, Franklin Covey designated Cherry Creek Elementary as the newest Lighthouse School! Among thousands of schools world-wide that implement The Leader in Me program, only around 380 schools have received this honor. We could not be more proud of this achievement!

For the last four years, teachers, staff, students, parents, and community members have worked to teach the 7 Habits and leadership principles to our students. Numberless people and hours have been contributed to shaping Cherry Creek into an incredible school. In order to achieve Lighthouse status, a school must demonstrate "mature" and "excellent" methods of implementing leadership principles. Although this is a great measure of our success, we will continue to grow and find better ways to practice leadership principles.

To celebrate reaching this milestone, Cherry Creek will host a family and community celebration on Monday, May 7th. The event will include an award ceremony, food, and entertainment. More details coming soon, but put it on your calendar, as it will be an event not to be missed!
